I’ve gone through all the old posts and have made updates, corrections and fixed the photo links. If you come across anything that doesn’t look right, please leave a comment and I’ll follow-up.
It’s Back!!!
That’s right! After a very long (3 years?) hiatus, my genealogical research blog is back! I managed to carry over all the earlier posts from the original blog and will be fixing broken links and adding more content over time. I’m not planning on letting this new and improved version languish as I did before!
I found a photo of Frank Conrad Bayha holding a very young Richard Comrad Bayha.

I found a photo of Frank Conrad Bayha feeding some chickens, presumably on his farm in Emmet County, Michigan.

My Apologies
I would like to apologize to everyone reading this blog. It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted anything. I will endeavor to post more often than I have been in the recent past.
While visiting the other day, my father showed me a photograph that he has had for sometime of all the children of Frank Conrad Bayha. From the looks of it, it was likely taken in the early 1970’s. It was taken using an old Polaroid camera and is not of the best quality. However, it is good enough to allow someone to name the people in the photo.

Obituary – Forrest Bayha
Forrest was my 2nd cousin and Keith’s brother.
I originally found his obituary posted on the the Battle Creek Enquirer’s web site, but it has apparently been removed. However, I was able to find it again through Ancestry.com. It can now be found online here. I have also added the text below.
Obituary – Allen Eugene Ball
Allen was the husband of my cousin Sandy. I don’t believe that I have ever met Allen or Sandy, but I would like to go back and visit Sandy sometime.
I found Allen’s obituary posted on RootsWeb.com. Someone from the Emmet County Genealogical Society had transcribed it from the web edition of the Petoskey News-Review. I tried to locate it on the web site, but it appears to no longer be there. If anyone has an original on hand, I would love to get a scan of it.
A book about Frank and Blanche (Shorter) Bayha
In 2005, my lovely wife, Lejanna, received a certificate from the Genealogy and Family History Certificate Program at the University of Washington. As part of their coursework, the students were required to write a book on the life of an individual or family that they were researching. The family that Lejanna chose to do her research on was that of Frank and Blanche (Shorter) Bayha
